A word that is used often and often. A word that contains a promise, but also a question that consumers have to ask themselves:
With MedSalus products, sustainability begins with the raw material
Sheep wool is a sustainable raw material. It continually grows back following the natural cycle. The MedSalus sheep graze in the Atlas Mountains 365 days a year and are not kept in stables. Species-appropriate, sheep-appropriate. They are sheared twice a year, with the well-being of the animals and a gentle approach being the top priority.
Sustainability means: Naturally
Because the sheep are kept free-range, the sheep's wool is not contaminated by feces or anything else. Neither chemicals nor heat need to be used for cleaning. The MedSalus virgin sheep's wool is only produced in... cold water of the Atlas Mountains.
From the first to the last day without chemicals
No chemicals are used in the production of MedSalus sheep's wool products and therefore no artificial or chemical substances are added to the ecological system. The MedSalus sheep wool duvets are self-cleaning. They do not have to and should not be washed in the washing machine or by hand. That saves water, that saves detergent and thus chemicals again.
And if the duvets have lost their impressive properties after seven to eight years - even sheep's wool duvets only have a limited lifespan - then they are biodegradable. Or you can give the sheep's wool fleece a second life by using it as fertilizer for the garden or balcony plants.
Sustainability means social responsibility
A company that operates sustainably bears responsibility. Responsibility for employees and responsibility for customers. Through the project in Marrakech, MedSalus is counteracting the difficult social conditions and unemployment that prevail there. Through fair working conditions people are given a better standard of living and a perspective for the future.
MedSalus fulfills its responsibility towards the customer by offering only the highest quality, most natural and most sustainable sheep's wool blankets and products in Merino quality. But sleeping naturally and well should not be an unaffordable luxury, which is reflected in the company's fair pricing policy.
